Visa Restrictions For Foreign Doctors Are Impacting SouthDoc Services In Cork
That's according to SouthDoc's Medical Director Dr Gary Stack.
Dr Stack was speaking following concerns that some patients are being forced to present at Cork emergency departments or going without assessment due to a lack of doctors at SouthDoc.
It was revealed earlier this month that just one doctor was on duty at the service's Kinsale Road Office for three nights over the bank holiday weekend.
The majority of foreign doctors working night shifts at Southdoc are from South Africa.
Speaking to RedFM News, Medical Director at SouthDoc Dr Gary Stack outlines the problems these doctors face when applying for a visa:
