Hundreds of New Jobs Announced for Lidl

Lidl has announced that it will create 600 new jobs in Ireland in the next two years.

The supermarket, which opened it's first store in Ireland in 2000, currently employs 4,000 nationwide

Lidl,  which has 19 outlets across Cork city and county,  says the new jobs are due to significant growth in their Irish market share.

Maeve McCleane of Lidl says recruitment will commence immediately, and positions will be filled over the next 24 months
