Ian Bailey Has No Intention Of Travelling To France For Sophie Toscan du Plantier Murder Trial

Cork solicitor Frank Buttimer made the comments after Bailey's French Lawyer said he was considering defending himself at the Criminal Court of Paris.
Ian Bailey, with an address at the Prairie, Liscaha, Schull has denied any involvement in the killing of the French film producer at her holiday home in Toormore in December 1996 and denied ever making any admission that he killed her.
He was arrested by Gardaí twice for questioning about the murder but was released without charge on each occasion.
He will be tried in absentia if he does not attend the court on May 27th.
