Ian Bailey Says It's Inevitable That He Will Be Convicted Of Murder In France Later This Year

The freelance journalist has denied any involvement in the killing of Sophie Toscan du Plantier

The French film producer was killed at her holiday home in Toormore in December 1996.

Ian Bailey also denied ever making any admission that he killed her.

He was arrested by Gardaí twice for questioning about the murder but was released without charge on each occasion.

Bailey says he will not attend the court in Paris in May, meaning he will be tried in absentia.

He told Virgin Media News that he fears being wrongly convicted over the killing
