Ibrahim Halawa Released From Prison

Ibrahim Halawa is free.
The 21 year old Dubliner was released from custody in Cairo overnight.
It comes a month after he was cleared of all charges connected to mass protests in Cairo in August 2013.
President Michael D Higgins has welcomed the news saying it will come as a huge relief to his family while Foreign Affairs Minister Simon Coveney says there are some formalities to complete before Ibrahim can fly home.
