That's the stark warning from a lead oncologist at the Bon Secours in Cork who was speaking ahead of tomorrow's National Oncology Symposium.
Over 9,000 deaths every year are from cancer with one person dying from cancer every hour in Ireland.
Speaking to RedFM News Brian Bird, lead oncologist at the Bon Secours in Cork says people can do a lot to help themselves.
