IMO Hopes New GP Contract Will Urge Young Doctors Into Practice

Under the reforms, there will be a 40 percent increase in funding for General Practice over the next four years

The Irish Medical Organisation says it hopes the new GP contract agreed with government will go a long way to encouraging young doctors into the practice.

Under the reforms, there will be a 40 percent increase in funding for General Practice over the next four years.
 
It also includes proposals to provide free GP care to children under 12 on a phased basis, starting next year.
