Importation of waste not planned at proposed Ringaskiddy incinerator

Indaver Ireland has confirmed to RedFM News that the incinerator is intended for Cork and the Irish waste management system only.
The company behind plans for a €160 million incinerator in Ringaskiddy have moved to allay fears they're planning to import waste.

However new claims by a UCC lecturer heard at the oral hearing for the project yesterday suggest Cork could become the waste capital of the world.
Speaking to RedFM News Managing Director of Indaver Ireland John Ahern says Ireland needs to start managing its own waste and the intention of his company is to solve problem, not create them:
