Increase In Calls To Tenancy Protection Service In Cork

There's been a 26% increase in calls to the Tenancy Protection Service in Cork.

Threshold says many of the calls are related to rent increases which have reached a new record high nationally.

It emerged yesterday that rents have risen by 10.4% in the city and 13.1% in the county and fears are mounting that the recent rent caps will be ineffective as demand continues to outstrip supply.
