Increase In Calls To Tenancy Protection Service In Cork
There's been a 26% increase in calls to the Tenancy Protection Service in Cork.
Threshold says many of the calls are related to rent increases which have reached a new record high nationally.
It emerged yesterday that rents have risen by 10.4% in the city and 13.1% in the county and fears are mounting that the recent rent caps will be ineffective as demand continues to outstrip supply.
Speaking to RedFM News Niall Horgan of Threshold says rent increases aren't the only reason there's been a reduction in the supply level across the market:
