Increase in number of cannabis growhouses being discovered
A significant spike in cannabis cultivation has led to several hundred growhouses being discovered during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Official figures show since January 1st, 120 cannabis cultivation seizures have been made across the country
The Irish Examiner reports this morning that 14 of thse were discovered across the three garda divisions in Cork City and county.
Some of these growhouses are being linked by Gardaí and academics to human trafficking.
