More and more people are putting the wrong feul in their cars. According to an AA Membership survey, the increasing number of diesel vehicles has led to the surge in this mistake - which can cost motorists up to €1,500 to repair. The AA survey also found that women aged between 17 and 24 are more likely to cause a flat battery while men are more likely to run out of fuel. It is the male drivers from Cavan however who are the most likely to run out of fuel, while men from Offaly are the most likely to put in the wrong fuel.
