The Independent Alliance has called for an urgent joint meeting between Enda Kenny and Micheal Martin - within 24 hours.
The call comes as the two leaders prepare to step up their pursuit of Independent TDs, with six days until the next vote for Taoiseach.
It's understood Enda Kenny has already replied - but is keen to ensure that all 15 independents taking part in talks, can attend the meeting.
Shane Ross of the Independent Alliance says he hopes the leaders will understand the urgency:
