Independents4Change candidate Mick Wallace is expected to reach the quota in the Ireland South constituency this morning.
Staff in the Nemo Rangers count centre are currently distributing the transfers of Sinn Féin's Liadh Ní Ríada after the party conceded defeat last evening and withdrew their request for a full recount.
The battle is on for the fourth seat however as both Fine Gael's Deirdre Clune and Grace of Sullivan of the Green Party will be hoping to avoid the so-called 'cold storage' fifth seat which won't be operational until after Brexit.
Speaking to RedFM News Grace O'Sullivan of the Green Party says it's been a long count for all the candidates but the entire process in Ireland South has raised awareness of the democratic process:
