INMO Have Described Conditions At CUH Are 'Horrendous' For Both Frontline Staff And Patients
It comes as the latest trolley figures show a record 73 patients are without a bed at the hospital today
The union are demanding that CUH fully implement de-escaltion policies including cancelling all elective surgeries and stopping non-emergency admissions until the situation has stabilised.
They are also calling for extra bed capacity to be sourced from both the private and public sector.
Speaking to RedFM News, Liam Conway from the INMO in Cork says the HSE's winter plan was implemented too late to make a difference:
