INMO inundated with calls from Nurses at their wits end

The INMO says they've been inundated with calls to their Cork office from nurses on wards who say they're at their wits end with the trolley crisis.

The numbers on trolleys hit an all-time high last week at 612 and today the number is also high with 506 awaiting beds across the country.

Leeside emergency departments are struggling to cope with volumes of patients - 44 people are lying on trolleys in Cork University Hospital, 9 in the Mercy and 5 in Bantry General hospital.
