INMO members at CUH to take industrial action

It's over staffing issues in the oncology department.

Industrial action is set to take place by members of the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation at Cork University Hospital.

It follows an ongoing dispute over staffing levels in the oncology department.

The action will take place on Tuesday May 12 in the form of a "work to rule", during which all essential care required by patients will continue to be provided but non-nursing tasks will not be carried out.

The union are calling on the HSE to agree to a clinical and recruitment action plan to resolve the issues.

Speaking to RedFM News, Patsy Doyle of the INMO says staffing levels in the oncology department are not being met.
