INMO to ballot members to effort to tackle overcrowding

The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation will ballot their members for industrial action in an effort to tackle the Overcrowding crisis.

Overcrowding at the CUH has lessened today, but 22 patients remain on trolleys at the Emergency Department, and 22 patients are also waiting on admission at the MercyUniversity Hospital.

According to Figures released by the INMO, almost 350 people are receiving treatment on trolleys and chairs across the country.

The Organisation says their members have had enough, and are unable to provide the level of care necessary for their patients.

Speaking to RedFM News INMO Spokesperson Mary Rose Carroll says they will ballot their members for industrial action in the coming weeks:
