INMO Warns That Strike Action Remains An Option

Talks between the nursing union and the HSE over pay and conditions will continue at the Labout Court next week
Talks were suspended after the INMO said it needed time to deal with a written response from the HSE.
The union say they will put any Labour Court recommendations to a ballot of its members and have previously objected to proposals on flexible working hours, rosters and location changes.
Over 1,000 nurses and midwives in Cork staged a series of 24 hour strikes in January and February, resulting in thousands of procedures and appointments being cancelled.
