Inquest finds cocaine did play a part in Katy French's death

An inquest into the death of Katy French has concluded with evidence that cocaine did play a part in the model’s death. Coroner John Lacey has recorded an open verdict after hearing the 24 year old died from a lack of oxygen to the brain as a result of cocaine and ephedrine. The 24 year old died in hospital in Navan on December 6th 2007. She had been brought to hospital 4 days earlier by Kieron Ducie and his then girlfriend Ann Corcoran who both have convictions for procuring a person to supply the model with cocaine.
