Eircom says it's working around the clock to restore landline services to nearly 1200 homeowners across Cork... The company is advising customers who have been without their landline since Storm Darwin hit Cork last month - that it expects to have the majority of faults cleared by next week - but it could take up to two weeks to clear all the faults There's a significant level of cable and pole replacement jobs needed and Eircom say this can be a lengthy and difficult process. Mallow, Blarney Mitchelstown, Youghal, Glanmire and Skibbereen are the worst affected areas.
