Internet Safety Experts Urge Parents Not To Remove Devices From Teenagers As Punishement

Parents in Cork are being warned against removing devices from teens as punishment for sexting.
Internet Safety company Trend Micro says such reactions following the discovery of sexually explicit images on phones will prevent children from asking for help from their parents in the future.
It comes as sexting is now seen as commonplace and normal by many young people, who may not be aware of the legal implications of distributing such material.
The Internet safety experts say parents should remain calm if they find such material on their children's phones.
