INTO Says Strike Action Is Still A Possibility

The country's largest primary teachers union has said it is prepared to strike if no agreement is reached at fresh education sector pay talks. The Irish National Teachers Organisation is taking part in talks at the Department of Education this evening - following discussions at the Labour Relations Commission earlier. 91% of INTO members last week voted to go ahead with industrial action if the Government unilaterally cuts pay. Arriving for talks at the Department of Education this evening, General Secretary Sheila Nunan said that strike action remains an open possibility.
