Investigation Into Death Of Man In Douglas Upgraded To Murder Inquiry
The investigation into the death of 66-year-old Joe O'Callaghan in Cork city has been upgraded to a murder inquiry
His body was found at his home in the Galway's Lane area of Douglas on Monday.
His injuries indicated a violent death and a post mortem was carried out yesterday to determine the course of the investigation.
Gardaí say they're preparing a file for the DPP, following the release of a 21 year old man they'd been questioning.
He was released from Togher Garda station without charge last night.
It's been revealed that the man arrested in relation to the case was known to the victim
