Investigation underway into the cause of a technical fault at Corrib Gas

It's after after around 10,000 homes in Galway and Mayo were affected

The Commission for Energy Regulation says restoring odourised gas is the first priority but an investigation in to the fault will be carried out.

Gas Networks Ireland says they're working their way north, as they clear remaining areas affected by this weeks' gas supply fault. 

Safety manager Owen Wilson says Galway City - Oranmore, Salthill and Claregalway are clear; and remaining areas affected are being restored as quickly as possible.
