Ireland 2040 described as ground breaking for Cork

That's the reaction of Cork Chamber of Commerce following the announcement of the National Development Plan yesterday in Sligo.

Cork received significant funding for infrastructure, transport, health, education and arts projects as part of the €116 billion Ireland 2040 plan.

Cork Chamber say the projected growth of the city and county cements Cork's place as Ireland's second city and region.

Speaking to RedFM News, Conor Healy from Cork Chamber of Commerce says the plan is a testament to Cork's future development.
