Ireland Attracted Most Foreign Direct Investment Per Capita In Europe Last Year

There were 165 investment projects here in 2020, down 13 percent on 2019, according to a new EY survey
US companies account for nearly 60 percent of the total, followed by the UK at around 20 percent and Germany at 5 percent.
Head of FDI at EY, Fergal de Freine, says Ireland continues to do very well in the area:
"Our survey measured the number of foreign direct investment projects, announced across 48 countries in Europe in 2020. And we found that Ireland maintained its top 10 ranking. And, in fact, Ireland continues to punch above its weight in attracting foreign investment and topped the table when we consider the number of investments announced per head of population."
