Ireland Gets A Glimpse Of Super Blue Blood Moon

People around the world got a glimpse of a rare "super blue blood moon" last night.

The event happens when a total lunar eclipse, a blood Moon and a supermoon coincide.

 

Those with the best view would have seen the moon appearing around 7 per cent larger and 15 per cent brighter than usual.

 

The event's been seen in the western hemisphere for the first time in more than 150 years - but wasn't visible in Ireland.
