Ireland has a problem with uninsured drivers and fraudulent claims
Figures from the Motor Insurers Bureau of Ireland show that a spike in uninsured claims in 2016.
The MIBI says the issue has showed little sign of improvement last year.
MIBI Chief Executive David Fitzgerald says they received a total of 2,758 claims last year - and an estimated 1 in 8 were suspicious.
