Ireland's Largest Free Maritime Festival Drops Anchor In Cork City This Weekend

Ocean plastic pollution is on the agenda
Up to 100,000 people are expected flock Leeside for SeaFest 2019 which got underway Thursday, continues today, and will be running until tomorrow, Sunday the 9th of June.
This is Cork's first year hosting the free four day event that aims to highlight everything the ocean has to offer while also raising awareness of the need to protect our marine environment against ocean plastic pollution.
There are a number exhibitions and performances across the weekend including an interactive hut made up of 60kg of household plastics, the average amount used by an adult in Ireland each year.
We asked these people if they have been enjoying SeaFest 2019 so far.
