Irish Blood Transfusion Service appeal for more donors Leeside

They say the hot weather and holiday season can often see a drop in attendance at clinics, but are reminding people that one donation can save three lives
"You get back more than you give"
That's according to the Irish Blood Transfusion Service who are calling on donors across Cork to make a special effort to attend clinics ahead of the bank holiday weekend.
The IBTS say stocks of blood can deplete quickly, particularly over the August Bank Holiday, which is one of the busiest weekends on Irish roads.
Speaking to RedFM News IBTS Donor Recruitment Manager Maureen Gill says they are appealing to past and present donors to make the time to donate if at all possible.
