Irish Blood Transfusion Service issues appeal for donors Leeside

It comes following the Christmas period when blood stocks prove to be particularly low
The Irish Blood Transfusion Service is issuing an appeal for blood donations.
Concerns have been expressed following an outbreak of flu and the illness has affected people's ability to donate.
Blood stock of O negative, A negative and A positive are low and the IBTS are appealing for donors of all blood types this weekend.
The Regional Centre at St. Finbarr's Hospital runs its clinic between 3.30 - 7.30p.m.
Speaking to RedFM News Donor Recruitment Manager at the IBTS Anne O'Donovan says this time of year is particularly hard.
