Irish filmmaker and former UCC graduate says he's keeping his fingers crossed for Oscars success

Shaun O'Connor's 'A White Horse' secured a place on the Academy Awards' 2021 longlist after it was awarded Best Irish Short at the Foyle Film Festival in 2019.
The movie stars Cork actors Cora Fenton and Amber Deasy and was filmed across the city and county.
Speaking to RedFM News the UCC film graduate says he'll know more later this month, "So the next step is go from the long list to the shortlist which is announced I believe the 10th of this month, which is 10 films and then after that, that gets brought down to five films which are the nominations. There's a road to go yet but it's been a really exciting time and responses we've gotten to the film from places we were able to show it before COVID happens, has been really exciting. So, with all our fingers and toes crossed."
