Irish Guide Dogs Launch 'StreetSmart' campaign
The SmartStreet Campaign has been set up in a bid to encourage people to keep footpaths free of obstacles.
The Irish Guide Dogs have launched a new initiative to coincide with World Sight Day.
The SmartStreet Campaign has been set up in a bid to encourage people to keep footpaths free of obstacles to enable those who are blind or visually impaired to have clear and safe path to travel on.
It's hoped the campaign will raise awareness of the challenges that obstacle such as parked cars, wheelie bins, hanging hedges and street furniture pose.
