Irish Nurses And Midwives Organisation Fully Expect Tomorrow's Planned Strike To Proceed

1,000 INMO members across Cork are due to protest in a row over pay, conditions and the retention of staff

The prediction comes as talks between the HSE, government and the union broke down in the early hours of this morning following 8 hours of talks.

37,000 INMO members, including over 1,000 in Cork City and County are due to protest in a row over pay, conditions and the retention of staff.

The INMO says nurses and midwives will provide emergency cover.

Speaking to RedFM News, Liam Conway from the INMO says the government needs to act urgently to prevent the strike.
