Irish Shoppers Being Reassured There Is No Fear Of Supplies Running Out Before Christmas

The UK is reporting concerns over fresh food deliveries after France closed it's border to lorries arriving from Dover, for 48 hours.

However Arnold Dillon  - Director of Retail Ireland says retailers here are fully stocked and there's no reason to buy any more than usual:

"As a result of Brexit retailers have comprehensive contingency plans in place to manage any disruption to supply chains from and through the UK. Supply chains between Ireland and the UK continue to operate as normal and direct connections between continental Europe are available, should there be any ongoing issues with the UK landbridge."
