Irish teens ranked highly in some subjects

The Minister for Education has welcomed today's results from the OECD which ranks Irish students above average for some school subjects. Ireland's 15 year olds have been ranked as some of the best in the world when it comes to reading. While we've also made significant gains in science and maths - placing us above the OECD average out of 34 countries. According to Ciara Eustace of the EU office in Dublin, Ireland's ranking in reading, maths and science areas has improved. Press PLAY button above to listen to the audio
