Irish Tourist Industry calls on improved transport links

The Irish Tourist Industry Confederation is calling on the Government to improve transport links between the regions.

In its Tourism 2025 strategy, the group predicts that the industry will grow by 50 per cent and will create a further 50-thousand jobs.

The ITIC says capital investment is needed to support the sector, including upgrading some tourist sites run by the Office of Public Works.
