Irving Oil to officially takeover Whitegate Oil Refinary today

Irving Oil - the new owners of Whitegate Oil Refinary in East Cork will officially celebrate the takeover at the site today.
The Canadian Ambassador to Ireland Kevin Vickers, and Minister for Environment Denis Naughton will join Irving Oil chairman Arthur Irving at the site.
The future of the refinery, which was owned and operated by Phillips 66, was in doubt when the 15 year operating licence ran out in July.
Irving Oil's purchase was welcomed by locals, as the company announced they would be continuing full operation at the plant, and maintaining it's existing workforce.
