ISPCA rescue three dogs that were just days away from death in Youghal

The dogs were living in squalor in a filthy back garden with no access to clean water or food
Three small dogs, who were abandoned by their owners and left in an emaciated state, had to be rescued by ISPCA inspectors from the back garden of a house in Youghal.
The dogs were living in squalor in a filthy back garden with no access to clean water or food and the only shelter available was a cage with a dirty duvet inside.
A Yorkshire terrier was found with a badly matted coat and in a state of collapse and two Chihuahuas were found severely emaciated and one of them was pregnant.
The three dogs were seized and transferred for immediate veterinary attention while an investigation has been launched.
ISPCA Inspector Inspector Lisa O’Donovan told RedFM News that it was very upsetting to find such small, frail dogs living in such terrible conditions..
