ISPCA secure 3 convictions of animal cruelty in North Cork
The ISPCA say they will continue to work relentlessly to secure convictions for animal cruelty.
It comes as two separate ISPCA instigated animal welfare prosecutions were finalised in Mallow District court recently, resulting in convictions for three individuals.
Two of the convictions related to a failure in the duty of care provided to animals and the third was for providing false information to an authorised officer.
The Organisation has called for people who abuse or abandon pets to be banned from owning animals and say they would like to see more cases being put forward to the courts by the DPP.
Speaking to RedFM News ISPCA Senior Inspector Lisa O'Donovan says securing a conviction gives them closure on an animal cruelty case:
