Jazz bands take to the stage for the second day of the Guinness Cork Jazz Festival

40,000 jazz fans are expected in Cork this weekend as the festival gets in full swing
Thousands of people are descending on the city this weekend for the 34th annual Guinness Cork Jazz Festival.
Hoteliers are reporting full capacity and pubs, theatres, and retailers are all gearing up for a bumper weekend.
The Jazz is worth up to €20 million to the local economy and the event is also a boost for local tourism.
Speaking to RedFM News Guinness Cork Jazz Manager Gemma Bell says many people are extending their stay in Cork beyond the bank holiday weekend.
