Jennifer Hudson could be joining American Idol as a judge next year Hudson, who was a contestant during Idol's third season, is in talks to return to the show on which she made her name, Earlier this week, it was reported that American Idol bosses are considering hiring past contestants as judges, in a bid to refresh the show for next season.
