Judges sample what Oliver Plunkett Street has to offer

It's part of the competition for 'The Great Street Award 2016'
Oliver Plunkett Street has been visited today by judges from 'The Great Street Award 2016'.
It's the only Irish street to make the cut in the competition which is being judged by the Academy of Urbanism in London.
It's competing against Cairns Street in Liverpool and Deptford High Street in London for the title which will be announced in November.
In a four hour experience, the two judges were met by a delegation at City Hall and then proceeded to visit the street talking to traders and taking in the architecture and heritage of the area.
Some of the assessment categories in the competition include Commercial Success and Viability, Local Character and Amenity.
Speaking to RedFM News, Lawrence Owens from Cork Business Association says there was a lot of preparation in advance of today's visit.
