Judicial review of Cork's outlet centre to be heard in October

A judicial review of Cork's €100m Kildare Village-style outlet centre will be be heard in October.
The challenge by Cork County Council over a ministerial direction to annul a change to its development plan providing for the retail "outlet" in east Cork will be heard in the High Court.
It relates to a variation of the current plan made by councillors last year.
The Office of the Planning Regulator recommended to the Minister for Housing and Urban Development that the decision should be reversed saying it was premature and should not have been made prior to the preparation of an updated joint retail strategy for Cork.
The Echo reports that the case will be heard on October 19th.
