Junior Cycle Changes Among Today's Motions For Debate At ASTI Conference

Changes to the Junior Cycle curriculum are among some of the motions for debate at day two of the ASTI conference in Cork today.

Pay equality dominated yesterday, with union delegates voting to join the INTO and TUI in balloting for industrial action if the issue is not resolved by the start of next month.. .

 

Minister for Education Richard Bruton was heckled several times during his address, however his comment that government will enter into pay talks drew applause from delegates.

 

Dermot Brennan is a teacher at Clonakilty Community College, he told RedFM News that it's vital the Minister understands why some new teachers see no future in Ireland and are choosing to work abroad
