Kinsale RNLI Warning That The Sea Can Be Treacherous At This Time Of The Year

It follows two successful rescues by the same Kinsale volunteer lifeboat crew yesterday at Sandycove and Bandon

Three teenagers were swimming off Sandycove Island when one of them suffered a dislocated knee while jumping from cliffs.

The alarm was raised and all three were taken from the water by the lifeboat crew.

The young man was brought to Cork University Hospital and is recovering from his injuries.

The lifeboat crew also rescued a horse named Paddy when his hoof became trapped in the Bandon River.

Speaking to RedFM News, Tricia Tyson from Kinsale RNLI says people need to be prepared before going on the water
