Kinsale Teen Fighting For Life
A 14-year-old boy remains in a critical condition in hospital after becoming wedged on a railing in Kinsale yesterday. Leon Connon was out with friends when he became trapped in railings that block a well used short cut to the town. Initial reports suggest that the teenager was feeling unwell and rested on the 4ft high railings where he collapsed and became stuck. Hi friends panicked when they failed to free him and ran to the local houses to raise the alarm. The second year Kinsale Community College student was rushed to the Cork University Hospital after efforts by neighbours to save him. Gardaí are investigating the incident but are treating it as a tragic accident.
