L.É. Róisín to Return to Ireland Today

The Irish Naval Vessel, the L.É. Róisín, is returning home this morning after a 10 week mission in the Mediterranean.

The ship has rescued more than 1 thousand 200 migrants, and provided assistance to over 1,000 more since the start of May.

Families and friends of the crew will gather in Haulbowline to see their loved ones - who are expected to arrive between 9 and half past 9 this morning.

Minister of State with Responsibility for Defence, Paul Kehoe, will be among those welcoming the crew home:
