Last ditch bid to prevent rail strike

Unions and management are to meet again today at 2pm after 14 hours of talks yesterday

The NBRU say they'll make one final attempt to reach an agreement with Irish Rail today - and end a potential strike.

Unions and management were locked in talks for more than 14 hours yesterday.

Talks will reconvene at 2 o'clock this afternoon at the Workplace Relations Commission.

Three hours of stoppages are planned for rush hour on Friday morning - and again on November 6th.
