LE Eithne To Return To Mediterranean Today

The Irish navy vessel the LE Eithne returns to the Mediterranean today to help with the ongoing rescue mission there.
The ship sails from the Haulbowline naval base in Cork this morning, with 72 crew on board.
Since 2015, Irish naval vessels have helped save thousands of refugees and migrants trying to make the dangerous crossing to Europe.
The LE Eithne was the first Irish ship sent to the region at the start of the ongoing "Operation Pontus".
